Overview

The centrally air-conditioned and well-lit SBDMCH Central Library embodies a captivating ambiance that fosters dedicated intellectual pursuits. This aesthetically designed library ensures the utmost safety with fire alarms in place, creating an environment conducive to serious academic endeavors. Every member of SBDMCH enjoys complimentary access to an extensive collection, comprising over 18,138 books, 160 journals, and more than 7,200 back issues. Access to this wealth of knowledge is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on holidays.


To enrich the learning experience, the library facilitates free online access to journals, offering students and faculty a seamless avenue for research. Multiple terminals are conveniently provided in the Internet club, ensuring easy connectivity. Furthermore, the Audio and Video room houses a diverse array of CDs and video cassettes, serving as effective tools for enhanced learning. With 270 seats available in the main library reading hall and an additional hall accommodating 250 seats, ample space is provided for users to engage with their own study materials. Additionally, photocopying facilities are available within the library premises to cater to the needs of the users.


To support multimedia presentations, teleconferences, and international image transfers, the library features specially designed conference rooms. These spaces serve as venues for a multitude of national and international conferences and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs. The library's auditorium hosts these events, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and fostering academic growth.
