The Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation Centre (IPRIC) showcases a dynamic portfolio of patents reflecting innovation in dental diagnostics, therapeutics, biomaterials, and digital health. Key inventions include a Dental Diagnostic Probe Tip with Integrated Mirror, an Electrosurgical Device for Controlled Incision and Coagulation in Periodontal Surgery, an Oral Epithelium Scraping Double-Ended Instrument, and a biopolymer membrane incorporating Tridax procumbens extract with silver nanoparticles for enhanced periodontal healing. The portfolio also features an AI-based mobile application for periodontal health assessment and remote dental consultation, a Tissue Outliner for Gingival Grafting, and a Dental Gingival Probing Device. Advancements in endodontics are represented by an Automated Root Canal Preparation and Cleaning Device with Adaptive Torque Control, alongside innovations such as dental impression trays with adjustable jack screws and a cordless airotor handpiece for efficient dental procedures, collectively emphasizing precision, efficiency, and improved patient care. These innovations offer significant clinical and societal benefits, including enhanced treatment outcomes, reduced procedure time, improved patient comfort, and cost-effective solutions, while also facilitating opportunities for commercialization and technology transfer to industry for real-world application.

With over 25 years of experience in biomedical research, my academic journey has been driven by a commitment to high-impact research, innovation, and translational outcomes. My contribution is 50+ publications in Scopus and PubMed-indexed journals and hold 12 patents focused on bioactive molecules and translational pharmacology reflecting a strong emphasis on bridging fundamental science with real-world healthcare solutions. My core research focus in Translational Pharmacology and bioactive molecule discovery integrates traditional medicine systems with modern drug development, contributing to national priorities such as AYUSH integration and advancing global healthcare innovation.

Equally important is our unwavering commitment to ethical governance in research.We ensure that all research activities adhere to the highest standards of transparency, safety, and scientific integrity.

We actively foster global collaborations, digital education platforms, and capacity-building initiatives to nurture the next generation of researchers, clinicians, and innovators who are equipped to address complex societal challenges.
