International Conference cum Workshop on 16S Metagenomic Sequencing


Our students actively participated in the International Conference cum Workshop on 16S Metagenomic Sequencing, which was held on 8th January 2025 at Saveetha Dental College and Hospital.



National Conference on “Ocean to Medicine: Advances in Marine Drug Research (NCOMDR-2025)


Our I BDS students and Physiology faculty proudly took part in the scientific sessions of the National Conference “Ocean to Medicine: Advances in Marine Drug Research (NCOMDR-2025)”, conducted by Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, SIMATS, Chennai, and supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).





International Conference cum Workshop on Biomedical Research (ICWBR-2024)


At the Department of Physiology, learning extends far beyond classroom walls. Our students and faculty actively participated in the International Conference cum Workshop on Biomedical Research (ICWBR-2024) held on 21st September 2024 at the Centennial Hall, Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals.


The event brought together renowned scientists and innovators from across India and abroad, offering our learners a unique opportunity to experience real-world biomedical research at its finest.

Through expert talks, hands-on exposure, and interactive scientific discussions, our students explored emerging trends, advanced research methodologies, and interdisciplinary applications—enhancing their understanding of physiology in a wider biomedical context.


This participation reinforces our vision of creating curious, research-driven learners who grow through experiences that go far beyond traditional classroom learning.







Our faculty and students were invited to serve as Judges and Peer Judges at the IX Saveetha Transdisciplinary Annual Research Summit – 2022, a recognition of our department’s expertise and academic excellence.



MOLARIS


  • M. G. Yuvapriya, Viyash B, Kaushika, Madhushree, and Anirudh participated in MOLARIS on 6 th May 2022 and presented on “Vestigial Organs,” “Temperature Receptors,” “Immunity,” “Islet Cell,” and “Spermatogenesis,” respectively.
  • M.P. Ishwarya Raj participated as a delegate at MOLARIS held on 23 rd & 24 th February 2018 and presented on “Thyroid Disorders.”
  • N. Deepika attended the 12th International BDS Students Seminar on Basic Medical Sciences and presented on “Tooth Microcirculation.”

Out Campus Visits


  • The Department organized a lab visit to the Physiology Laboratory at Arunai Medical College on 22.12.2021 as part of an out-campus learning activity.

  • Students also visited Life Span Diagnostics, Alandur, Chennai, for an out-campus laboratory exposure session.
