The Cleft and Craniofacial Research Centre at Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital is a dedicated centre for advancing research, clinical care, and education in cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies. The centre integrates multidisciplinary clinical expertise with world-class research to develop evidence-based treatment protocols and improve patient outcomes across India


The centre conducts large multicentric clinical trials, translational research, and public health initiatives aimed at reducing the burden of cleft care. Through international collaborations and national clinical networks, the centre contributes significantly to improving cleft care standards and developing national care pathways. Toestablish the Cleft and Craniofacial Research Centre as a globally recognized centre of excellence dedicated to advancing research, education, and comprehensive clinical care for individuals with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial anomalies. The centre strives to generate high-quality scientific evidence through multidisciplinary research and multicentric clinical trials, translating these findings into improved clinical protocols and treatment pathways


Through strong national and international collaborations, the centre aims to lead innovations in cleft and craniofacial care, develop standardized guidelines for treatment, and contribute to global knowledge in orthodontics and craniofacial sciences. Ultimately, the vision is to improve patient outcomes, reduce the burden of care for families, and ensure equitable access to high-quality cleft care for communities in India and around the world
