We study Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to gain the knowledge and surgical skills needed to diagnose and manage diseases, injuries, and deformities of the face, jaws, and oral cavity. The specialty bridges dentistry and medicine, combining clinical diagnosis with surgical precision. It trains us to handle emergencies, perform minor and major oral surgeries, and restore both function and aesthetics. Studying OMFS also enhances our understanding of anatomy, patient care, and interdisciplinary teamwork—preparing us to deliver comprehensive, ethical, and evidence-based treatment.
