On 17 April 2025, Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital conducted a community dental health outreach programme at Madipakkam. The initiative was organized as part of the institution’s ongoing commitment to preventive dentistry and community-based oral healthcare services.

A team of dedicated faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns carried out comprehensive dental screenings to identify common oral health conditions such as dental caries, periodontal diseases, and other dental concerns. Participants received personalized counseling on maintaining proper oral hygiene, adopting healthy dietary practices, and seeking timely dental consultations. Awareness was also created regarding the harmful effects of tobacco use and the importance of early diagnosis.

The outreach programme successfully improved awareness about oral health and preventive dental care among local residents. The event reinforced the institution’s mission of extending quality dental services beyond the campus and strengthening its role in promoting accessible, affordable, and community-focused oral healthcare in and around Chennai.
