On 22 February 2025, Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital actively participated in the Kalaignarin Varum Mun Kappom camp held at Government Higher Secondary School, Tambaram. The outreach programme was conducted with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare and enhancing oral health awareness among school students and the local community.

A team of experienced faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns carried out comprehensive dental screenings to identify common oral health issues such as dental caries, gum diseases, and malocclusion. Participants received personalized counseling on maintaining proper oral hygiene, adopting healthy dietary habits, and seeking timely dental care. Preventive guidance and referrals for further treatment were also provided where necessary.

The camp successfully extended quality dental care services to underserved populations and reinforced the importance of early diagnosis and prevention. The initiative reflected the institution’s continued dedication to community service, public health promotion, and accessible dental healthcare beyond the campus.
