The Indian Orthodontic Society’s 3rd National Symposium on Invisible Orthodontics, organized in association with the Madras Orthodontic Study Group, was successfully held from March 15th to 17th, 2024, in Chennai. With over 300 registrations, including 65% life member delegates, the event was highly acclaimed for its scientific rigor and seamless organization.
The inauguration at The Accord Metropolitan featured esteemed dignitaries, including Organizing Secretary Dr. Vijay Adhith C, Scientific Committee Chairman Dr. Gnana Shanmugham K, Organizing Chairman Dr. M.S. Kannan, and key members of the Indian Orthodontic Society. Chief Guest Dr. Bhuminathan S honored the occasion, along with the felicitation of legal professionals advocating for orthodontic advancements.
A well-received e-poster competition took place on March 15th, showcasing 45 submissions across various categories of aligner and lingual orthodontics, covering clinical, research, and innovation-based studies.
The core scientific program, held on March 16th and 17th, featured 19 eminent speakers delivering lectures on diverse topics, including aligner biomechanics, lingual techniques, malocclusion management, case finishing, and evidence-based orthodontic practices. The symposium concluded with a dynamic debate on "In-Office vs. Branded Aligners," offering valuable insights into the evolving landscape of invisible orthodontics.
With engaging pre-conference workshops, in-depth scientific discussions, and expert-led debates, the symposium provided a comprehensive roadmap for practicing safe and evidence-based invisible orthodontics.
