It is one department which imparts theritical and practical knowledge to students from I^st year to final year BDS. Department of prosthodontics increases professionalism and empathy both at UG and PG levels. Equipped with state of art infrastructure and endowed with dedicated faculty, the department conducts absolutely professional implant training in 3 modules every year. Our goal is to metamorphose the students into professionally efficient doctors to serve humanity with empathy.

History

1997 : First Batch of MDS commenced with 2 PGs

2000 : First Batch of MDS passed out

2002 : The department started functioning as under the domain of Bharath University

2007 : PG intake increased from 2 to 4 Nos / Year

2012 : Established Implant Room

Transformation - Department of Prosthodontics

In 2018, our department underwent a transformation into an esteemed academic centre and clinic, offering a professional and exclusive environment for private practice. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including centrally air-conditioned postgraduate clinics featuring 17 advanced dental units, each allocated to a dedicated postgraduate student. Additionally, there are 37 well-equipped clinics for undergraduate students, all of which are maintained at optimal temperature and air quality. Furthermore, we have a specialized air-conditioned implant room, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.

Our primary objective revolves around the restoration of functional dental and oral tissues, employing the principles of aesthetics to achieve optimal outcomes. We strive to deliver exceptional dental services, focusing on both the functional and visual aspects of treatment.
