Memorandum of Understanding



1. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Academic and Research Collaboration in Periodontal Microsurgery Between Amrita School of Dentistry and Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital


This Memorandum of Understanding was executed on July 25, 2025, between Dr. K. V. Arun, Head and Professor, Amrita School of Dentistry, Ernakulam, and the Department of Periodontology, Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital (BIHER), Chennai.


It established a formal framework for academic and research collaboration in the field of periodontal microsurgery for a period of one year. The collaboration aimed to promote excellence through joint training programs, workshops, and research initiatives that advanced clinical and scientific knowledge in periodontology.


Both parties facilitated the exchange of expertise, organized academic events, and published collaborative research outcomes. SBDCH provided infrastructure and institutional support, while Dr. Arun extended professional mentorship and guidance in specialized surgical techniques.


This MoU carried no financial obligations and was founded on mutual understanding, confidentiality, and a shared commitment to academic advancement.


2. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Collaborative Research in Computational Modelling and Molecular Dentistry Between Five Angstrom LLP, Chennai, and Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital


This Memorandum of Understanding was executed in July 2025 between Five Angstrom LLP, Chennai, and the Department of Periodontology, Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital (BIHER), Chennai.


It established a three-year collaborative framework to integrate computational modelling and clinical expertise in dental and molecular biology research. The partnership focused on areas such as molecular docking, in-silico studies, data analytics, and nanotechnology-driven drug delivery systems.


Five Angstrom provided technological resources, computational tools, and training, while SBDCH contributed clinical data, research facilitation, and domain expertise. Intellectual property arising from the joint research was co-owned, with provisions for confidentiality and ethical compliance.


This MoU was non-binding and subject to mutual consent for termination or amendment.
