A Bird’s Eye View’ on Cone Beam Computerised Tomography

The National Virtual Conference – ‘A Bird’s Eye View’ on Cone Beam Computerised Tomography (CBCT) was successfully conducted on November 23, 2021, organized by the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology.

The conference featured distinguished speakers who provided comprehensive insights into CBCT technology, its applications, and advancements in dental imaging:

• Dr. Siva Balakrishnan – Professor & Head, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Best Dental College, Madurai, and Key Opinion Leader for J Morita Corporation – India (Imaging Division).
• Dr. Prashanth Shenoy – Professor & Head, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Yenapoya Dental College, Mangalore. He received specialized training in CBCT from Helsinki, Finland, and is a Certified Implantologist.
• Dr. Kavitaa Nedunchezhian – Senior Lecturer, Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital, Chennai. She is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist for CBCT Imaging, an author of books on CBCT and Antioxidants, and a peer reviewer for international scientific journals.

The conference served as a valuable platform for dental professionals, enhancing their understanding of CBCT technology, its role in oral oncology, advanced imaging, and treatment modalities.
