The UG programme is run according to the guidelines and curriculum given by the Dental Council of India.
Students are posted for 3rd B.D.S, 4th B.D.S and Internship in their undergraduate programme (100 students per year). The department also runs a post-graduate programme with an intake of 3 PG’S per year. Students are trained to record a detailed history, examine the patients and formulate a different diagnosis. The faculty guides the students in all their academic endeavours. The students are also trained in taking intraoral radiographs and interpreting them.

Procedural And Operative Skills

Students are trained on the basics of etiology, progression & treatment of Dental caries, Periodontal disease, Malocclusion, Oral Cancer, Dental Fluorosis and TMJ Disorders. Students are trained to arrive at a proper diagnosis by following a scientific and systematic procedure of history taking and examination of the orofacial region. Training is also imparted in disease management wherever possible, salivary diagnostic procedures, various radiographic procedures and interpretation of radiographs.
