Super Singer 2024

Sree Balaji dental college campus resonated with melodious tunes and electrifying performances as the much awaited event “Balajee super singers” unfolded. It was organised by the members of the committee of student affairs and the interns under the tutelage of our respected chairperson Dr. Nisha, our Registrar Dr. Bhuminathan, our beloved Dean Dr. Kannan. The event commenced with a grand inauguration on Feb 26th, 2024 with six rounds of auditions, each performance captivated the audience and demonstrated the diverse musical tastes and styles present within the college community. The panel of esteemed judges comprising Dr. Vivek and Dr. Nalini Ashwath had the challenging task of evaluating the performances based on various criteria. The participants included both the teaching and the non-teaching staffs of our college, and also the undergraduate and postgraduate students. We had around 50 participants, adorned with confidence took to the stage to mesmerise the audience with their vocal prowess. Amidst the fierce competition, moments of camaraderie and encouragement were abound, after much contemplation, the judge’s selected SIX finalists for the grand finale. After much deliberation Parvathy, Simantinii, Sri swathi, Miduna, Simrita sri and Jyotsna emerged triumphant, earning well deserved accolades for their exceptional performances. The Grand Finale was held on March 28th 2024, welcoming one of the most acclaimed music directors Jen Martin to be our Chief guest along with the college dignitaries that included our Registrar Dr. Bhuminathan and our dean Dr. Kannan and the members of the committee of the student affairs Dr. Thulasiram, Dr. Pugazhendhi, Dr. Ramya, Dr. Sathish, Dr. Mythriyee, Dr. Pavithra and Dr. Sivakumar. As the evening progressed, the tension mounted as it was time to select the winner. Every single finalist out there deserved the title. At the end of the day, Jyotsna gayathri came out victorious as the winner of the competition and Sri swathi being the first runner up, where parvathy and miduna graciously shared the second runner up trophy earning well deserved accolades for their exceptional performances. Balajee super singer not only showcased the musical talents of the students but also served as a platform for fostering unity through the universal language of music.
