E-ARC - Edentulism & Anodontia Research Centre
The e-ARC (Electronic Applied Research Centre) is dedicated to supporting a wide range of clinical research projects with a strong emphasis on advancing new therapies and diagnostic interventions for the treatment of tooth loss and subsequent functional deficit. The centre strictly adheres to ethical guidelines for good clinical practice, aiming to stimulate the interest of dental professionals and post-graduate students in conducting dental clinical research within the campus. The key objectives include:
- To study the basic mechanisms underlying the sequelae of tooth loss.
- To investigate the cause and effect of tooth loss, including diagnostic and treatment modalities.
- To conduct original research that enhances the understanding, recognition, and treatment of various edentulous situations.
- To organize multiple continuing dental education programs for research scholars, the scientific community, and post-graduate students in the dental fraternity.
The centre consists of a team of highly trained research scholars specializing in various areas of prosthodontics and related disciplines. The lab also provides opportunities for Ph.D. scholars to enroll and offers training to future academic dentists, preparing them for roles within dental school faculties.

- Comparative evaluation of the three different surface treatments- conventional, laser and nano technology methods in enhancing the surface characteristics of commercially pure titanium discs and their effects on cell adhesion - an in vitro study
