WALKATHON FOR ANTI TOBACCO AWARENESS

On 20th May 2025, Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital organized a dynamic Anti-Tobacco Awareness Program featuring a walkathon, an engaging health talk by the traffic police, and a skit by students.The day began with a walkathon involving students, faculty, and staff, aimed at spreading awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco. Participants carried banners and placards with anti-tobacco slogans, drawing public attention to the cause.


Following the walkathon, a health talk was delivered by a traffic police officer, highlighting the risks of tobacco use, especially among drivers and youth. He emphasized the link between tobacco use and road safety, reinforcing the importance of a healthy, alert lifestyle.


A skit performed by dental students showcased the emotional, social, and health-related consequences of tobacco addiction. The performance effectively conveyed the message of quitting tobacco through humor and storytelling.The event witnessed active participation and positive feedback, reinforcing the importance of collaborative community awareness in building a tobacco-free future.
